This is a rare September 29th, 1947 "Stagebill" playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the SAMMY FAIN and GEORGE MARION, Jr. All-American Musical "TOPLITZKY OF NOTRE DAME" at the Studebaker Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production opened December 26th, 1946 at New York's New Century Theatre and ran for only 60 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred GUS VAN, FRANCES WILLIAMS, WALTER LONG, EDWARD ROECKER, VICTORIA SCHOOLS, SANDRA BARRETT and JULIE OLSHINS and featured DAVE TYRELL, MARY REYNOLDS, AUDREY JOHNSON, ROBERT PENN, EILEEN O'DARE and the GONDOLIER'S QUARTETTE ..... CONDITION: With the exception of corner crease at the bottom right and minor edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
